I always see posts for gesture and figure drawing sites, but never any sort of masterlist. There is probably some I missed, so if you have some I missed feel free to add them!

• The Drawing Script - This one is my personal favorite! It has nifty categories for animals (Big Cats and Horses), Hands, Heads (one for both males and females). It also has a force grayscale tool, and a fill to window option.
• ArtsyPoses - Another good one! This one seems pretty new, and has a much sleeker design then most other sites. All the photos are nice looking, even though it may have less then some older sites. Works on Ipods, and Ipads.
• Pixelovely - Most similar to Drawing Script, but instead of having model categories. It has class options! The classes are really great. Also, has a tool for animals only.
• Posemaniacs - Honestly, I don’t really use this one because the models kinda give me the creeps. The site shows the body’s underlying muscles which can be very useful for some, and also can distract some people. It also has a negative space option!

Okay, at the risk of embarrassing myself in public, I’m putting this question out here…

What is the fucking secret?

My problem is that whenever I do some line-art and scan it with the intention of colouring it in Photoshop, I always get little bits of white in and around the lines. Even if I don’t use paint-fill to get the basic colours in and instead erase the white background left from the scanned page and colour from a layer underneath, it’s the same problem, with the white being a part of the line-work on the original layer.

I’ve tried messing around with contrast and other things to eliminate any greys and whatnot, but it still happens.

(I now know how to use Illustrator and InDesign but still don’t know what seems like basic photoshop stuff. Bleh. Next semester I’ll learn digital painting.)

I would work in Corel Painter, but ever since installing it on my new computer none of the brushes will load. =////

I feel very dumb not knowing this, and I’ve tried googling for solutions in the past but I still can’t make it work the way I want it. It feels like one of those things where you start to get paranoid and just assume that it’s a big conspiracy and everyone knows it except you. But I know that the TRUTH IS OUT THERE!

*flops around like a fish*

Uhg.
