More classwork stuff, but this time it’s some scribbles for a mock book cover I’m making.

Personally I like the first and last one the most, but I think that’s more or less due to that the colors I chose don’t really work well for the second thumb. (Not to mention I just kind of casually scribbled everything. Oops.)

I’m still trying to figure out what colors to use overall.

ANY OPINIONS SO FAR THAT AREN’T MY OWN?

I can’t say much about the colors, but I really like third one.

guys,  can you please critique my art? like, i dont mind if its mostly negative or positive or anon or whatever

but right now I’m at a point where I want to improve but I have no idea where to go forward with my art. so any advice would really be helpful.

examples of my art are here if you don’t know: http://bugcatchers.deviantart.com/

please….

I’m terrible at giving critiques (but would’nt mind doing it if you’re still looking for one), for general advice have you tried doing gesture exercises? http://www.pixelovely.com/gesture/figuredrawing.php

I suggest trying the 30 minute class at least once and then 2 minute ones every now and then. and don’t worry too much about what the end result looks like, one of the points for doing these exercises is to get an understanding of the form and shape of the body in different positions/perspective. (so in a way, the more you do these the better your brain can memorise these poses at hard angles, kinda like how a lot of us can draw 3/4 face perspective out of memory easily without references. so then you could apply this new “library of poses/anatomy” your brain memorised and stylise them for example)

I just want to say that the tumblr, http://fixitredlines.tumblr.com/ does critiques if you still feel you need one!
