I’ve seen a lot of GOOD realism artist that actually SUCK at drawing in anime or cartoonish style. You will not instantly be able to draw in anime just because you can draw a realistic face. In order to master a style, you need to practice it. Then you have to practice mixing different styles as well.

AND PRACTICE.

Draw in whatever style you want. But don’t blame on the “genre of style” just because you cannot instantly draw in a different style at first attempt.
